About JBI files

A .JBI file is a robot job program used by Yaskawa Motoman industrial robot controllers, such as the DX100, DX200, and YRC1000 series. These files are scripts written in the INFORM (Instruction for Motoman) programming language, containing motion commands, logic instructions, and coordinate data essential for automation tasks. While they are critical for the factory floor, the .JBI extension often confuses standard operating systems, which do not recognize it as a readable format. Users typically encounter friction when trying to view code logic or share program details with colleagues who lack expensive offline programming suites like MotoSim. Opening them often triggers a "Windows cannot open this file" error.

Because .JBI files are fundamentally plain text, the most practical solution for viewing and editing is converting them to TXT. This allows syntax highlighting in editors like Notepad++ or Visual Studio Code. For documentation, archiving, or sharing read-only versions with non-technical staff, converting to PDF is the industry standard.

Convert.Guru analyzes your JBI file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted DOCUMENT FROM ROHIT, JPEG, JPG, PRG, S19 and SCALA files.

The JBI Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our JBI converter.
