About JBI files
The .JBI file contains robotic job programming used by Yaskawa Motoman industrial robots. These files instruct robot controllers, such as the DX100, NX100, or YRC1000, on exact movement paths, joint angles, I/O states, and logic operations needed for automated manufacturing tasks like welding or assembly.
Typically, these files are created and edited directly on the factory floor using the robot's physical teach pendant, or offline using specialized simulation software like MotoSim EG-VRC.
The main problem with the .JBI format is its proprietary and rigid nature. Unless you have access to a costly software license or the physical teach pendant, viewing and auditing the exact trajectory logic is difficult for non-engineers. While the file is often structured as ASCII text, its custom command syntax and separated coordinate blocks are hard to read. Furthermore, a .JBI file cannot run natively on robots from other manufacturers, such as FANUC or KUKA.
For auditing, debugging, or archiving robotic paths, you should convert the file to TXT or CSV to clearly expose the raw coordinate data to data analysis tools. If you need to share the program logic with management or external vendors for documentation, convert it to PDF. Drop your file here to view and convert it securely right in your browser.
Convert.Guru analyzes your JBI file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

FAQ
If you want to convert JBI file to CSV, JSON, XML, YAML, YML, TOML, INI, CFG, CONF, DAT, DB or SQL, you can use MotoSim or similar software from the "Industrial Robot Job Programming" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert DBF, XML, SQLITE, XLSX, SQL, TSV, ACCDB, YAML, MDB, CSV, ODS or JSON files to JBI, try MotoSim or another comparable tool in the "Industrial Robot Job Programming" category.
The JBI Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our JBI converter.
