Extract text from hidden media files (HID2)

A .hid2 file is an obfuscated or encrypted media file created by privacy applications like Hide It Pro (often disguised as Audio Manager), Gallery Vault, and KeepSafe. These apps are used on Android and iOS devices to hide personal photos and videos from the main gallery. When a user hides an image or a video, the app modifies the file format or appends a custom header, changing the extension to .hid2 so standard media players cannot read it.
The primary disadvantage of this format is its proprietary, closed nature. It is specifically designed to prevent access outside the original app. This creates severe real-world problems when users upgrade their phones, forget their PIN, or recover files from a raw backup. Without the original app and password, your media becomes completely inaccessible. Standard image viewers and video players will reject the file because the expected header information is missing or scrambled.
To restore your media, you must extract the underlying formats, which are usually standard JPG, PNG, or MP4 files. Because these files are intentionally disguised, standard online converters fail to process them. Our platform analyzes the internal file structure.
