About GBD files
A .GBD file is primarily a Graphtec Binary Data file created by Graphtec data loggers, such as the GL240 or GL840 series. These files contain recorded waveform data, including temperature, voltage, and humidity measurements, stored in a compressed binary format to save space on the device's SD card or internal memory. While efficient for long-term logging, the proprietary nature of .GBD files can create major obstacles for analysts: they cannot be opened directly in Microsoft Excel or text editors like CSV files can. Users often require specific manufacturer software like GL-Connection just to view their own data. To overcome this lock-in and analyze trends in standard spreadsheet software, users should convert .GBD to CSV or XLSX. For sharing unalterable reports of environmental conditions, converting to PDF is recommended. Less commonly, a .GBD file may be a log file from Getinge disinfection equipment or a database file for Microsoft Kinect Gesture Builder.
Convert.Guru analyzes your GBD file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert GBD file to DB, SQLITE, SQLITE3, MDB, ACCDB, DBF, ODB, FDB, GDB, MYD, FRM or SQL, you can use GL-Connection or similar software from the "Data Logging Storage" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert NDF, SQLITE3, BAK, RDB, SQL, DB4, MDF, MDB, LDF, DB, DB3 or SQLITE files to GBD, try GL-Connection or another comparable tool in the "Data Logging Storage" category.
The GBD Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our GBD converter.
