The .fxg extension predominantly identifies the Flash XML Graphics format, an obsolete vector graphics interchange file type developed by Adobe. It was designed to allow seamless asset sharing between Adobe Creative Suite applications like Flash Professional (now Animate), Fireworks, and Illustrator. Because FXG relies on an XML-based structure to define paths, shapes, and text, the files can become surprisingly large compared to binary formats.
