About FPG files

The .FPG file format is highly fragmented, serving entirely different purposes depending on the software that created it. Primarily, it acts as a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) project file for Flexem FStudio, containing layouts for industrial touch panels. Alternatively, it is widely encountered as a 2D game graphics archive for legacy engines like Div Games Studio and the Fenix Project, storing sprites and background assets. Finally, Epson uses the .FPG extension to package digital firmware updates for their printers. The main disadvantage of the .FPG format is this severe fragmentation. A user cannot know if the file is a proprietary industrial interface, a retro game asset, or a printer ROM just by looking at it. Furthermore, .FPG files are completely unsupported by modern web browsers and require heavy, specialized, often Windows-only software to open natively. Flexem projects demand a steep learning curve and lock your data into their ecosystem, while game archives hide their image assets behind GZIP compression. Epson firmware files are simply disguised ZIP archives, but extracting them without care can break digital signatures. To overcome these limitations, you need to extract or convert the file. For Fenix game archives and Epson firmware, convert to .ZIP or .GZIP to easily extract the internal contents. For HMI interface designs, convert the visual layouts to .PDF for client archiving or .WebP for web sharing. Drag and drop your file here to analyze and convert it - free, online, and without installing software.
