About FLOWCHART files

A .flowchart file is a proprietary diagram document created by PureFlow, an iOS application developed by Aleksandr Kozlov. These files store visual processes, utilizing shapes, connecting arrows, and text data to map workflows.

The main disadvantage of the .flowchart format is its severe platform restriction. These files are strictly locked to the Apple iPad ecosystem and require the original PureFlow app to open natively. Because the app was removed from the iOS App Store in 2023, sharing these files with Windows, Android, or new macOS users is impossible without prior exportation.

If you have access to the original software, your best solution is to export the diagram immediately to standard targets like PDF, PNG, or JPG. Converting to these formats ensures your visual data becomes universally accessible, though you will lose the ability to edit the vector shapes and text natively.

Unfortunately, this file format is exceptionally difficult to open or convert externally. Standard online converters fail because the .flowchart format is a closed, undocumented file type. There is no public specification available for third-party developers to build reliable conversion tools. Ultimately, only the original PureFlow software can properly read or export the visual data. While visual recreation is impossible without the source app, our analysis engine can inspect the file and show text or internal content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your FLOWCHART file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted PNG, FPRG, DOCX, JPG, PDF, PPTX, DRAWIO, FCD, SVG, TXT, DOC, VSD and JPEG files.
