About FLO files

The .FLO file extension has several distinct uses, but it is most frequently encountered as an Automate flow file created by LlamaLab Automate for Android, or as a vector diagram used by iGrafx FlowCharter and RFFlow.

In the context of Android automation, .FLO files contain visual scripts that automate tasks on mobile devices. For diagramming software, they store vector graphics, shapes, text, and connector lines. Additionally, computer vision researchers use .FLO files to store dense optical flow data (often handled with OpenCV), and video games developed by FromSoftware use the extension for internal UI layouts.

Users often need to convert .FLO files because these formats are highly proprietary and specialized. An iGrafx or RFFlow diagram cannot be opened natively by web browsers or standard image viewers. LlamaLab automation scripts are similarly useless outside the Android application. Sharing a .FLO flowchart with a client usually fails unless they also have the specific commercial diagramming software installed on their machine.

To make visual diagrams accessible, you should convert .FLO flowchart files to standard formats like PDF, PNG, or SVG. Exporting to PDF retains vector scaling and text searchability, while PNG flattens the image into a static grid of pixels and loses infinite scalability.

Because .FLO formats are often closed, proprietary, or specific to niche applications, standard online converters fail to process them correctly. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your FLO file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted TXT, PDF, DOCX, SDOCX, TOC, WF1 and GPX files.

The FLO Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FLO converter.
