About FLE files
The .FLE file extension is primarily used for two distinct purposes: Structural analysis project files associated with RDM Le Mans software, and Fleet fuel transaction data files used by Comdata. The engineering variant stores material properties, nodes, and stress calculations for structural modeling. The Comdata variant contains structured fleet management data, such as fuel purchases, odometer readings, and vehicle metrics. You need to convert these files because they are highly proprietary and lock your data into a specific vendor ecosystem. You cannot open an RDM Le Mans .FLE file in standard CAD software like AutoCAD, and Comdata files often require specific corporate portal access to read. This makes sharing information with clients or accountants very difficult. For the engineering data, we recommend exporting to PDF or standard CAD formats like DXF directly from the source software. For fleet records, converting to CSV or XLSX is essential to allow spreadsheet analysis in Microsoft Excel. Because this is a closed, proprietary format, standard online converters fail to process it. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. We can inspect the file and show text or internal content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your FLE file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The FLE Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FLE converter.
