About FKY files

The .FKY file extension is a proprietary keyboard macro definition file created for Microsoft FoxPro. Developers used these files to record and store custom keystroke sequences to automate repetitive tasks within the database environment. Because Microsoft discontinued FoxPro in 2007, the .FKY format is now obsolete. The main disadvantage of this file is its closed architecture; it requires a legacy application that no longer runs natively on modern operating systems. Furthermore, standard web browsers and text editors cannot interpret the proprietary encoding. Users usually need to convert these files to extract old automation logic or keystroke data.
