About FC7 files
The .FC7 file is a proprietary CAD drawing format used by FastCAD to store 2D and 3D vector graphics, layers, dimensions, and drafting metadata. Opened natively using FastCAD by Evolution Computing, this format presents significant compatibility challenges. It is a closed, proprietary file. This makes sharing difficult because clients or colleagues cannot open .FC7 files without buying a dedicated FastCAD license. Web browsers and standard vector viewers completely fail to process it. The best conversion targets are DXF or DWG for continued CAD editing in standard software like AutoCAD, or PDF for universal viewing and printing. Note that proprietary layer properties or FastCAD-specific macro entities may be lost during conversion to standard formats. The .FC7 format is notoriously difficult to open or convert because only the original software can properly read or export the complex geometric data. Standard online converters usually fail to process it. However, you can drag and drop your file to convert.guru to identify the format, inspect the file, and show text or internal content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your FC7 file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The FC7 Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FC7 converter.
