A .facefx file is a proprietary FaceFX Actor File developed by OC3 Entertainment. It stores phonetic data, animation curves, bone poses, and audio mappings used primarily in 3D video game development for automatic facial lip-syncing.
You can typically open or manage these files using the standalone FaceFX Studio software or via integrated plugins for major game engines like Unreal Engine and Unity.
This format presents significant disadvantages for general users. It is a highly specialized, closed-source format that often requires expensive commercial licenses to edit.
