About EVL files

The .EVL file extension is most commonly an event log file or analytical result dataset. These files are typically generated by proprietary hardware and software systems, including Honeywell gas detectors, Paessler PRTG Network Monitor, Socomec UPS systems, and clinical chemistry analyzers like the ELITechGroup Selectra E Platform. In niche cases, they also act as envelope results in CSI ETABS or print templates in Familienbande genealogy software. The main disadvantage of the .EVL format is its severe fragmentation. Because at least eight completely unrelated systems use the exact same extension, opening an .EVL file natively is incredibly frustrating. The files are often encoded in proprietary binary or Microsoft Compound formats, meaning you cannot simply open them in a standard text editor or web browser. Without the exact, often expensive original software (like a clinical analyzer system or structural engineering suite), the data remains entirely locked and unreadable. To make your data accessible, you need to convert it. For data analysis, auditing, or importing into Microsoft Excel, convert your .EVL files to CSV or XLSX. If you need to archive compliance logs or share engineering results with clients, convert to .PDF/A. For a quick raw data inspection, converting to TXT is best, though some binary data may be lost. Drag and drop your file to analyze and convert it - free, online, and without installing specialized software.

Convert.Guru analyzes your EVL file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted TSX, HIS, 22 and KTX files.
