In MathType, an .EQP file stores precise equation formatting rules, including font styles, symbol sizes, and spacing parameters. In dental manufacturing, it holds machine-specific milling configurations. Both variations share a major disadvantage: they are highly restrictive. You cannot open these files without a paid, specialized software license. They are not supported by web browsers, and sharing them with colleagues who lack the exact software version usually results in an unreadable file.
