Most commonly (according to recent data), it is a project file generated by Wondershare EdrawMax, a specialized diagramming tool used for flowcharts, floor plans, and network topologies. These files use a proprietary structure (often XML-based) that locks your data inside the software. If you don't have a paid subscription to EdrawMax, you cannot view or print the diagram. This proprietary lock-in is a major limitation for professionals trying to share drafts with clients who don't own the software.
