The catch for users is that .dk files are strictly locked to their parent mobile apps. You cannot simply double-click a .dk file on a Windows or macOS desktop to open it in Microsoft Word or Adobe Illustrator. They are designed exclusively for the mobile app's rendering engine to communicate with the specific thermal printer hardware.
