The .DEZ file extension is a highly fragmented format with multiple entirely different uses. Most frequently, it functions as an electrical one-line diagram project created by EasyPower. Alternatively, it is a database design model generated by Datanamic DeZign for Databases, an irrigation design file from IrriCAD, or a musical analysis annotation from the Dezrann tool.
Because the .DEZ extension is shared among unrelated software ecosystems, dealing with these files is notoriously frustrating. The internal data structure can be a proprietary binary format (CAP), an XML database schema, a compressed ZIP archive, or a JSON document. This severe fragmentation means that a .DEZ file is fundamentally tied to its original software. The biggest disadvantage is that you usually must pay for a specialized software license to open, view, or export the contained data.
Standard online converters routinely fail to process .DEZ files because they lack the proprietary algorithms needed to render the closed structures. If you need to convert an EasyPower diagram to a standard PDF or a DeZign model to a SQL script, you generally must rely on the native export feature of the authoring software. However, there is a pragmatic workaround. Our engine inspects the internal file signature to tell you exactly which application generated it. If our analysis detects an unencrypted underlying format (like XML or JSON), data extraction or conversion may still be possible.
