About CYI files
The .cyi file is a Clustify Input File used by the document clustering and e-discovery software Clustify, developed by Hot Neuron. It typically contains document paths, extraction settings, metadata, or text data required for the software's clustering engine to group related documents. This format is heavily restricted and serves as a closed container.
Users face significant challenges because the .cyi file is entirely proprietary. It cannot be opened by standard text editors, web browsers, or database viewers. If you do not have an expensive, active Clustify license, the data inside becomes locked. Standard online converters fail to process it because the internal structure is undocumented and closed-source. If the data must be migrated, users usually want to convert it to TXT, CSV, or XML to recover the document lists and metadata without losing formatting.
Because this file format is difficult to open or convert, often only the original software can properly read or export the data. Standard tools simply hit a wall. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your CYI file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert CYI file to TXT, RTF, DOC, DOCX, ODT, PAGES, TEX, LATEX, MD, MARKDOWN, LOG or NFO, you can use Clustify or similar software from the "Document Clustering Input Data" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert PDF, DOC, ASC, TODO, NFO, MEMO, README, DOCX, JPG, TXT, NOTE or RTF files to CYI, try Clustify or another comparable tool in the "Document Clustering Input Data" category.
The CYI Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CYI converter.
