Most commonly, a .CSA file is a state archive generated by Keysight (formerly Agilent) PNA Network Analyzers. In the modding community, .CSA files are compiled scripts used by the CLEO Library to modify Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. These files contain compiled opcodes that change game mechanics. Modders looking to edit or learn from a script must "decompile" the .CSA file into a human-readable text format (like TXT or S) using tools like Sanny Builder.
A .CSA file is also the standard text-based recording format for the Computer Shogi Association. These files log moves for Shogi (Japanese Chess).
