About CS1 files

The .cs1 file extension serves three distinct purposes. Primarily, it is an LED controller configuration file used by the Colorlight LED control system. Alternatively, it functions as a custom settings file for Canon digital cameras or a proprietary 1-shot Raw Image generated by Sinar medium-format cameras. To open the LED configuration version, you need Colorlight LEDVISION. For camera data, use Canon EOS Utility or Sinar CaptureShop. Users often need to convert or extract data from .cs1 files because they are deeply locked into proprietary hardware ecosystems. You cannot read a Colorlight settings file without the exact display hardware and software. Furthermore, Sinar Raw files are massive, uncompressed, and completely unsupported by standard image editors, web browsers, or mobile devices. This makes sharing and archiving incredibly difficult. For Sinar Raw images, the best conversion targets are DNG for lossless archiving, or JPG and TIFF for broad compatibility. Be aware that converting to JPG will permanently discard original sensor data and dynamic range. For the configuration files, extracting the raw text parameters to XML or TXT is the most practical workaround. Because these formats are closed and highly hardware-specific, standard online converters will instantly fail to process them. Often, only the original hardware software can properly read or export the data. However, at convert.guru, we offer a pragmatic workaround. Drag and drop your file to see what it is and convert it if supported. Even if full conversion fails, our tool can identify the exact file type, inspect the internal hex structure, and extract readable text. If our analysis detects a supported embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your CS1 file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted CS4, JPEG and JP2 files.
