Convert a file to CEA
To convert other file formats to the "Assembly Script & Data Archive" file type, you need software like Cheat Engine or a similar tool.
About CEA files
The .CEA extension is shared by three distinct ecosystems, often causing confusion.
Cheat Engine Assembly Script: Most commonly, this is a plain text script used by Cheat Engine to modify game memory (e.g., infinite health, ammo). These files contain Auto Assembler commands.
Ansys Granta CES Archive: In engineering and academic circles, a .CEA file is a project archive for Ansys Granta Selector (formerly CES EduPack). These are actually renamed ZIP files containing material data, charts, and project settings. The primary drawback here is the proprietary lock-in; users without the expensive Ansys software cannot open the project natively.
Samsung EMM Profile: Less frequently, it is a configuration profile used by Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment for managing enterprise devices.
Conversion & Practical Workarounds:
For Gamers: Since Cheat Engine files are just text, you can convert them to TXT to view the code on any device, or open them directly in editors like Notepad++ or VS Code.
For Engineers: If you don't have access to Ansys Granta, you can change the file extension from .CEA to ZIP. This allows you to extract the internal XML data and images using standard tools like 7-Zip or WinRAR, bypassing the need for a license just to view assets.
Convert.Guru analyzes your CEA file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The CEA Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CEA converter.
