Extract text from CC-DMS and WebEx files (CCL)
To convert CCL files to another format, you need CC-Manager or other Data software.
To convert other file formats to the "System and Proprietary Data" file type, you need software like CC-Manager or a similar tool.
The .CCL file extension is highly fragmented and used by several completely different software systems. Most commonly, it acts as a Document Management System (DMS) link created by CC-egov CC-Manager. These files operate as internal pointers for municipal and corporate networks. Another major use is as a 3D character collision data file generated by the Capcom MT Framework engine or Character Creator. The extension is also used for temporary video cache files by Cisco Webex, CFX Command Language settings by Ansys, closed caption subtitle files for CyberLink software and VLC Media Player, or ZIP-based EASA Configuration files.
The main disadvantage of .CCL files is their extreme lack of standardization. Most are proprietary data containers or temporary caches. For example, a WebEx cache file is usually incomplete and cannot be simply renamed to MP4. A CC-DMS file only functions if you are connected to the original local intranet. Character Creator files require an expensive software license to open. Because these are closed formats, standard online converters always fail to process them.
Target formats depend entirely on the file type. A subtitle .CCL should be converted to SRT or VTT. An EASA configuration can be extracted as a standard ZIP. For 3D or WebEx files, direct conversion is rarely possible without the native software. We will read the file header to tell you exactly what type of .CCL you have.
