The .CCC extension represents a critical fork in file types: it is either a file held hostage by TeslaCrypt 2.0 ransomware, a Creation Club manifest for Bethesda games, or a mislabeled SSL Certificate.

1. Ransomware Encrypted Files (Most Common):
If your photos or documents suddenly have a .ccc extension, they were encrypted by the TeslaCrypt virus. Do not pay the ransom. The master decryption key was released publicly in 2016. These files cannot be opened by standard viewers until they are "converted" (decrypted) back to their original formats (e.g., JPG, DOCX, XLS) using specific tools.
