About CC3 files

The .CC3 file extension is a highly fragmented format representing completely different types of data depending on the software that created it. Most commonly, it functions as an XML-based measurement configuration file utilized by CC3 Data Manager and Core-Cache software. Because it relies on standard XML formatting, the data is highly structured but serves no functional purpose outside its native measurement ecosystem. Another widespread application is as a 3D project file in Ceramic 3D, which stores proprietary ceramic tile designs, layouts, and textures. Additionally, the extension is famously associated with legacy project files from Broderbund Calendar Creator 3. These specific files utilize the binary Microsoft Compound format to store vintage page layouts, embedded graphics, and custom dates. Other niche variations include metabolic exercise test data exported by VacuMed Care-C (CardioCoach) and 3D CAD models generated by coscom ccLab. Converting .CC3 files presents a massive challenge because the format's underlying architecture changes entirely based on its origin. Standard online converters fail because they cannot distinguish between a plain-text XML configuration file, a proprietary 3D CAD model, or an obsolete 1990s calendar layout. A Calendar Creator file, for instance, requires the original software running on an older Windows operating system to reliably export to a modern PDF or JPG. Similarly, Ceramic 3D designs are strictly locked to their specific rendering engine and cannot be easily exported to standard 3D formats like OBJ or STL without access to the native application. Our deep analysis inspects the internal file signatures to determine whether you have an XML file, a binary Microsoft container, or raw measurement data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your CC3 file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The CC3 Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CC3 converter.
