About BTT files

The .BTT file is primarily a Bluetooth protocol trace file created by the Ellisys Bluetooth Analyzer hardware. Engineers use it to debug and test Bluetooth connections. It can also act as a Combat Mission battle file or game terrain data for The Elder Scrolls Online. The biggest disadvantage of the Ellisys .BTT format is that it is strictly proprietary. You cannot open it natively in standard network tools like Wireshark. The files are often massive, easily exceeding hundreds of megabytes, and require specialized software to read. Users typically need to convert these files to PCAP, CSV, or TXT to share the capture data with developers who do not have the Ellisys suite installed. Because this is a closed hardware-specific format, standard online converters fail completely. Often, only the original Ellisys application can properly read or export the raw radio data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your BTT file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted CLOG, SMCL, HWL and IDR files.

The BTT Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our BTT converter.
