Extract text from IsoDraw illustrations (IDR)
To convert IDR illustrations to another format, you need PTC IsoDraw or other Vector Image software.
To convert other file formats to the "Technical Illustration File" file type, you need software like PTC IsoDraw or a similar tool.
The .IDR file extension is primarily associated with PTC Arbortext IsoDraw, a professional CAD application used to create high-quality 2D technical illustrations, spare parts catalogs, and assembly instructions. These files contain vector graphics, known as "Intelligent Graphics," which allow for interactive features like clickable hotspots on part numbers.
The main problem users face with .IDR files is their proprietary nature.
