The .BRE extension represents two distinct proprietary game formats that users often struggle to access. Most commonly, it is a Battle Realms Replay or Map file used by the cult-classic RTS game Battle Realms (2001) to record match history or store level geometry. Alternatively, in the emulation and modding scene, a .BRE file may be a Binary Resource file associated with Nintendo Wii or GameCube engines (often related to BRRES containers). These archives hold 3D assets, textures, and animations locked inside proprietary structures.
