Extract text from BCS files

The .BCS extension is a classic example of a filename collision, shared primarily by enterprise software and legacy gaming engines. The most significant use is the SAP Business Configuration Set, a format used by SAP ERP systems to transport and document customizing settings between different system landscapes. While crucial for system architects, these files are effectively black boxes outside the SAP environment; you generally cannot open them with a standard text editor to verify contents without proprietary tools.
A secondary but highly active user base encounters .BCS files as Compiled Scripts within the Infinity Engine, the architecture powering legendary RPGs like Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale. Unlike their source counterpart (BAF files), these are binary-compiled, meaning modders cannot simply edit them in Notepad to alter game behavior. To modify game logic, users must "convert" (decompile) these files back to a readable text format using community tools like WeiDU or NearInfinity.
Less frequently, you might encounter .BCS files as Yamaha Style Files (a variant of MIDI used on keyboards like the PSR-3000) or legacy audio batch scripts from Sonic Foundry (now MAGIX).
