About ABAP files

An .abap file contains source code written in Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP). Developers use this high-level programming language to customize workflows, build financial reports, and develop business logic within SAP ERP systems.

Typically, these files are created and edited using the SAP ABAP Development Tools plugin for Eclipse or the older ABAP Development Workbench. The fundamental disadvantage of an .abap file is its absolute dependency on the proprietary SAP ecosystem. It cannot be executed natively on Windows, macOS, or Linux, and standard web browsers cannot render its syntax properly. Sharing raw .abap files with non-SAP developers or project managers often results in formatting errors and unreadable code blocks unless they install specific IDEs.

To share this code easily, you must convert it. For basic sharing and quick viewing across any device, convert to TXT. For immutable code reviews and long-term compliance archiving, convert to PDF. For embedding snippets on the web, convert to HTML.

Convert.Guru analyzes your ABAP file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted EES, LSP, MFA, PYTHON and JSON files.
