About Y3D files
The .Y3D file format stores custom player deck configurations for the discontinued PC game Yu-Gi-Oh! ONLINE 3, also known as Duel Accelerator. Developed by Konami, this game allowed players to collect digital cards and duel opponents globally. Because the official game servers permanently shut down in 2012, the .Y3D format is now obsolete and practically useless for live gameplay. The file uses a highly proprietary, closed binary data structure to store specific card IDs rather than standard readable text. This presents a major disadvantage: you cannot simply open it with standard text editors, and despite the misleading '3D' extension, it is completely unsupported by 3D modeling software. Standard online converters will fail to process it because it relies on an internal database index rather than common document or image standards. Players looking to recover their old deck lists usually need to convert these files to YDK format for use in modern community simulators like YGOPro, or extract the data to TXT or CSV files to read the card names. This file format is difficult to open or convert because only the original, now-defunct software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your Y3D file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
