About XPC files
The .XPC file format is primarily used as a proprietary game data archive by older video games, most notably the PC and console releases developed by Climax Group, such as Hot Wheels: World Race. These files pack massive amounts of 3D models, textures, and audio into a single, specialized container. Secondary uses of the .XPC extension include audio processor presets for Behringer and Xilica hardware, Mad Catz SharkPort Game Boy Advance cheat codes, and UTF-8 data exports from Tribal Group's SITS student record systems.
The primary disadvantage of the .XPC format is its fragmented, proprietary nature. Because multiple developers chose this extension for entirely different purposes, the file lacks standardization. Game archives are closed, heavily compressed files that lack official extraction utilities. Audio presets are completely locked into vendor-specific ecosystems. Consequently, standard online converters fail to process .XPC files because they cannot parse the undocumented headers, unique byte structures, or proprietary compression schemes.
Converting an .XPC file directly into universal formats like ZIP, MP3, or PDF is typically impossible using conventional tools. Game archives require custom-built community modding scripts to unpack the raw assets, and audio preset parameters cannot be translated into other brands' software. The Tribal Group SITS variants are the exception, as they contain standard UTF-8 text that can be saved to TXT or CSV.
Because this file format is difficult to open or convert, often only the original software can properly read or export the data. We can identify the file format, inspect the file, and show text or internal content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format (like plain text in a database export), viewing or partial conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your XPC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The XPC Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our XPC converter.
