About XOPUS files

The .xopus file is a proprietary game asset archive developed by Exient Entertainment for their internal OPUS game engine. It functions as a container that bundles 3D models, textures, audio tracks, and compiled scripts into a single large package to optimize game load times. These files are built by internal developer tools and are never intended to be opened directly by players. The primary disadvantage of the .xopus format is its closed, undocumented nature. You cannot open it with standard archive managers like 7-Zip or WinRAR. This makes modding or extracting the original game assets extremely difficult, as standard converters have no way to parse the custom compression or folder structure. Users typically want to extract the contents to convert embedded textures into .PNG or .DDS, or audio files into .WAV or .OGG. Standard online converters will immediately fail because they do not recognize the proprietary .xopus header. If our hex analysis detects unencrypted, standard file signatures embedded within the archive, we can often extract the raw contents and make viewing or conversion possible despite the proprietary wrapper.

Convert.Guru analyzes your XOPUS file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
