About XFC files
The .XFC file extension primarily represents heavily proprietary data archives, most notably used as financial audit data files by Exact Software or as process historian archives and configuration files for industrial Emerson DeltaV DCS systems. A smaller percentage of these files function as compressed Adobe Flash assets or highly specific font texture data (MOS DATAFILE2.0) for legacy Ministry of Sound games.
These files are notoriously difficult to manage because they are locked within closed ecosystems. An .XFC audit file often requires an expensive commercial license or the specific XFC Audit File Viewer to access critical accounting records. Similarly, Emerson DeltaV configurations are compiled binary or database structures designed strictly for machine-to-machine industrial control communication. They are entirely unsupported by standard web browsers, text editors, or general data parsing tools.
Because of these proprietary lock-ins, standard online converters consistently fail to process .XFC files. For financial and industrial data, the ideal conversion targets are standard formats like CSV, XML, or XLSX for spreadsheet analysis, or PDF for auditing compliance. Unfortunately, extracting this data directly without the native application usually results in corrupted or garbled text.
Just drag and drop your .XFC file onto convert.guru to identify its exact format subtype, view its internal structure, and convert it when possible. While standard conversion is blocked by closed binary structures, our tool can safely inspect the file's raw hex data. If our analysis detects embedded, non-encrypted text strings or a supported underlying archive format, partial data recovery or viewing may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your XFC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert XFC file to INDD, QXP, PUB, PMD, PM6, PM7, PM8, PM9, PM10, PM11, OMP or P65, you can use Exact Software or similar software from the "Financial & Process Data Storage" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert MDI, PUB, PDP, PM4, P65, COMIC, WEBTEMPLATE, PMD, SPUB, INDD, PM5 or QXP files to XFC, try Exact Software or another comparable tool in the "Financial & Process Data Storage" category.
The XFC Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our XFC converter.
