About WSW files
A .WSW file typically functions as a firmware update for OpenBox satellite receivers, an SQLite database for the Wassapp Windows client, or a game data file for Nintendo's Wario World. These distinct uses mean the file's internal structure varies wildly. OpenBox firmware files are proprietary binary blobs designed specifically for hardware flashing via the OpenBox Upgrade Tool. They are completely undocumented, closed-source, and cannot be opened with standard software. Wassapp files, however, are standard SQLite databases that store messaging history and application data. Wario World data files contain highly proprietary 3D assets and logic used by the Nintendo GameCube hardware. Users usually try to convert .WSW files to extract text, recover WhatsApp chats, or rip game models. Standard online converters fail because they rely on predictable file signatures, and firmware binaries lack these entirely. Wassapp .WSW files are the exception - since they are built on SQLite, you can often extract their tables to CSV or TXT.
