To convert other file formats to the "Fax Template File" file type, you need software like VentaFax or a similar tool.
The .vfc file format is a proprietary VentaFax Cover Page File developed by Venta Association. It stores the visual layout, text fields, and graphical elements used as a cover sheet when sending electronic faxes through the VentaFax software.
The major disadvantage of the .vfc format is that it is entirely closed and locked to a single, legacy telecom application. You cannot open a .vfc file in Microsoft Word or view it in a standard web browser. It requires a specific software installation just to view a single page. Furthermore, standard online converters routinely fail to process it because the internal data structure is undocumented. This makes sharing your cover page designs with non-VentaFax users virtually impossible without exporting them first.
The best conversion targets for a fax cover page are standard document formats like PDF or image formats like PNG and JPG. Converting to these formats ensures anyone can view or print the cover page on any modern device, though you will lose the dynamic fillable fields specific to the VentaFax dialer.
