About VECTORNATOR files
The .vectornator file format is a proprietary vector drawing document created by Linearity Curve (formerly known as Vectornator). Designers use this format to store multi-layered vector graphics, artboards, typography, and embedded raster images, typically on macOS, iPadOS, and iOS devices. This format has severe limitations outside the Apple ecosystem. It is proprietary and locked to specific platforms. It requires an active installation of Linearity Curve to open natively. The file cannot be viewed in web browsers, and industry-standard tools like Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape cannot open it directly. Users working on Windows or Linux devices are completely locked out of the content unless the file is exported first. When you need to share these designs, you must convert them. The best target formats are SVG for web-compatible scalable vector paths, PDF for high-quality printing and client reviews, or PNG for quick raster image sharing. Be aware that complex proprietary effects, unique blend modes, or specific text rendering may be rasterized or lost during export to standard formats. Because it is a closed, proprietary format, third-party online converters usually fail to process .vectornator files correctly. Often, only the original software can properly read the internal data structure and export it reliably. Our tools inspect the file for embedded content or underlying text structures. If our analysis detects a supported embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your VECTORNATOR file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The VECTORNATOR Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our VECTORNATOR converter.
