About UIBAK files

The .UIBAK file is a backup disk image generated by UltraISO. When a user edits an existing CD or DVD image file (such as an ISO) and saves the modifications, the software automatically creates a .UIBAK file to preserve the original, unmodified state of the disk image.

Managed primarily by UltraISO developed by EZB Systems, this format serves strictly as a safety net. The primary disadvantage of the .UIBAK file is that it is a closed, proprietary backup extension. Standard operating systems like Windows 11 and virtual drive software like Daemon Tools cannot mount or read a .UIBAK file natively. Users are artificially locked into the UltraISO ecosystem to restore their data.

The best conversion target for a .UIBAK file is a standard ISO file. Often, a .UIBAK file is merely an exact copy of the original image with a different extension. Changing the extension manually from .UIBAK to ISO will frequently restore complete functionality without the need for dedicated software.

Because this file format relies on a proprietary extension rather than a standardized structure, standard online converters fail to process it. They do not recognize the extension or the internal file headers. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format - like a standard ISO header hidden beneath the .UIBAK extension - viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your UIBAK file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
