About UC files
The .UC file extension primarily represents UnrealScript class files, the proprietary scripting language used in legacy versions of Unreal Engine (UE1 through UE3) to define game logic, weapons, and AI behavior. While these files are essentially plain text, they are often locked inside compiled packages or require an IDE like Visual Studio Code with specific plugins to read effectively. A major limitation for developers and modders is that UnrealScript was deprecated in Unreal Engine 4 in favor of C++, making .UC files obsolete for modern development yet critical for archiving or modding classic games. Converting these scripts to PDF preserves formatting for documentation, while converting to TXT ensures universal readability.
Alternatively, Android users frequently encounter .UC files created by UC Browser. These are often temporary video cache files or incomplete downloads. The raw .UC format is useless to standard media players and cannot be opened directly. To recover this content, users often need to convert completed cache files to MP4 or MKV for playback in versatile players like VLC Media Player.
Use Convert.Guru to open and convert your UC file.
Users also converted UPK, UASSET, T3D, C and NC files.
The UC Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our UC converter.
