A .ubox file is a simulation data file created by Universe Sandbox, an interactive space and gravity simulator. It stores custom solar systems, celestial body parameters, velocities, and physics simulation states used to recreate specific cosmic events within the game. You must use Universe Sandbox to open, edit, and play the simulations contained in these files.
The .ubox format presents several disadvantages for general users. It is a strictly proprietary, closed format. It requires a paid license for the game to open and interact with the data. You cannot open it natively in a web browser, and standard office software cannot interpret the data. Because it contains highly specialized physics engine parameters, standard online converters fail to process or render these files.
There are no direct conversion targets like PDF or JPG for raw simulation data. If you need to share the simulation visually, the best approach is to open the .ubox file in the game and use screen recording software to capture an MP4 video or take a PNG screenshot.
