About TVC files
The .TVC extension represents two distinct, proprietary data formats that often cause compatibility headaches for users. The most common variation (approx. 63%) is a TV Channel Playlist generated by TVirl, an Android TV application used to integrate IPTV services with the system's native "Live Channels" interface. While useful within that specific Android ecosystem, these files are effectively useless if you attempt to migrate your channel lineup to other popular players like VLC Media Player or TiviMate. They do not adhere to the standard M3U or M3U8 text-based structure, meaning you cannot simply edit them in a text editor to fix stream URLs or channel names.
The second frequent iteration (approx. 15%) is a Connection Configuration file used by TeamViewer, the remote desktop software. These files store connection settings, partner IDs, and preferences for easy deployment across multiple machines. A common problem here is version locking; a .TVC file created in a newer version of TeamViewer may fail to import into an older legacy client, and the proprietary binary encoding prevents manual auditing of the settings inside.
Conversion Recommendations:
For IPTV/Streaming: To make your playlist portable, convert .TVC to M3U. This allows you to load your channels into virtually any media player or IPTV box.
For System Administration: If you need to document or audit remote access settings, convert the TeamViewer .TVC to TXT or XML to view the raw configuration data in a human-readable format.
For Batch Processing: If the file is from Turbo View & Convert, converting to a standard script format may be necessary for archiving.
Convert.Guru analyzes your TVC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The TVC Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our TVC converter.
