The .TU file extension is predominantly used as a game save file for The Universim by Crytivo Games and TerraTech. Under the hood, a .TU game save is usually a standard ZIP archive containing raw game state data and images. Alternatively, it may be a Turing Source File created by Holt Software for the Turing programming language. Game save formats like .TU are inherently proprietary and restrictive. A .TU file is useless outside of its parent game, making it impossible to natively view your progress, edit stats, or share standard text summaries without specialized software.
