Convert a file to TTSD
To convert other file formats to the "Telemetry Timestamp Data" file type, you need software like Tic-Trak or a similar tool.
About TTSD files
A .ttsd file is a Tic TimeStamp Data file primarily used to store session data for behavioral research. Created by the open-source Tic-Trak software, this format logs precise timestamps for telemetry and observational events during a research session.
However, the .ttsd format has several significant disadvantages. It is highly proprietary to specialized research tools. You cannot natively open these files in web browsers or standard data analysis software like Microsoft Excel or SPSS. Sharing these files with team members who lack the exact software often leads to compatibility errors, locked data, and frustrating workflow bottlenecks.
To make your data usable, you should convert the .ttsd file to universally supported tabular formats like CSV, JSON, or XML. These standard formats allow you to easily import your timestamps and event variables into any spreadsheet or statistical database application. Because .ttsd is a closed internal format without public documentation, standard online converters usually fail to process the specialized data arrays correctly. We bypass standard conversion limitations by analyzing the underlying file structure directly. If the .ttsd file contains readable text or recognized embedded logs, we can extract the raw timeline data for you, even without access to the original program.
Convert.Guru analyzes your TTSD file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert TTSD file to CSV, JSON, XML, YAML, YML, TOML, INI, CFG, CONF, DAT, DB or SQL, you can use Tic-Trak or similar software from the "Behavioral Research Time Logging" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert DBF, XML, SQLITE, XLSX, SQL, TSV, ACCDB, YAML, MDB, CSV, ODS or JSON files to TTSD, try Tic-Trak or another comparable tool in the "Behavioral Research Time Logging" category.
The TTSD Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our TTSD converter.
