About TTD files

The .TTD file format is primarily used by Sensitech TempTale devices as a Temperature Data Logger file. These specialized hardware monitors track environmental conditions for sensitive logistics, such as pharmaceuticals or perishable food. The .TTD extension is also actively used by TomTom navigation devices for storing GPS trip logs, by AspenTech software as a simulation data file for Aspen Plus, and by Tinytag Explorer for hardware data logging.

Because .TTD files serve completely different purposes across unrelated industries, they are notorious for causing user confusion. The biggest disadvantage of the .TTD format is its strict, proprietary nature. Whether the file contains cold-chain temperature logs or personal GPS coordinates, the data is encoded in a closed binary format. This means you cannot simply double-click a .TTD file to view it in a standard spreadsheet or text editor. Users are forced to install specific, often legacy or expensive software - like TempTale Manager Desktop, TomTom HOME, or Aspen Plus - just to access their own data.

Users typically need to convert .TTD files to open formats like CSV or XLSX for data analysis, PDF for compliance reporting, or GPX for mapping TomTom routes. Unfortunately, because these are closed, proprietary formats, standard online converters almost always fail to process them. Often, only the original hardware's software can properly read or export the encrypted or specialized data. However, convert.guru can help. Just drag and drop your file to identify the exact format, inspect the file structure, and show any readable text or internal content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your TTD file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted PDF, QRP, APW, STORAGE, A018 and JMD files.

The TTD Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our TTD converter.
