About TT2 files

A .tt2 file is primarily a TrueType Font file, often associated with Monotype Imaging technologies or generated as a temporary artifact during Microsoft Office installations. While these files contain valid vector glyph data identical to standard TTF fonts, their obscure extension prevents them from being recognized by the Windows Font Viewer or macOS Font Book. Users typically encounter these files in the root directory (e.g., C:) or temporary folders as "ghost" files left behind by installers or CoolType caching processes. Because the operating system does not natively support the .tt2 extension, you cannot install or preview them by double-clicking. To use these fonts in Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop, or CSS, they must be converted or renamed to a standard format like TTF (TrueType) or OTF (OpenType). For web use, converting to WOFF ensures broader browser compatibility.

Convert.Guru analyzes your TT2 file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted PNP, TEMPLATE and XLTX files.
