About TSCX files

A .TSCX file is a specialized data container used primarily for Transport Security Clearance Applications submitted to Transport Canada. In some contexts, it is also used for data submissions related to the EPA Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). These files are typically generated and processed by secure government web portals or specialized compliance software. The main disadvantage of the .TSCX format is that it relies on a proprietary XML schema. If you try to open it on a standard desktop computer, it will not render as a clean, readable form. Instead, standard text editors will display a confusing wall of code and tags. You cannot easily print it, and it requires the exact government software to view the formatted application. To make the data usable for your own records, you should convert .TSCX to PDF for a clean, printable document, or to standard XML or CSV for data extraction.
