These files contain critical server data - hostnames, port numbers, usernames, and cryptographic key references - encapsulated in a format that typically requires Bitvise to open.

Common Challenges: Users frequently face friction when migrating from Bitvise to alternative clients like PuTTY or OpenSSH, as these tools cannot natively import .TLP configurations.
