Extract text from firmware files (TCO2)

The .tco2 file is an operating system update package designed specifically for the Texas Instruments TI-Nspire CX II graphing calculators. Students and educators use these files to flash new firmware, fix bugs, and add features to their devices.
You can apply these updates using the official TI-Nspire Computer Link Software or the TI-Nspire CX Connect web app.
Because it is a proprietary hardware update, the .tco2 format is severely limited on a standard PC. You cannot open it natively on Windows or macOS. Users often download these files and cannot look inside them, leading to frustration when trying to verify the download or extract specific internal assets without connecting a physical calculator.
Instead of converting to a document, the best approach is to treat it as an archive. The ideal target format is ZIP.
