Convert SUD to another file type
To convert your SUD file to another format, you need Allplan or other Data software.
Convert a file to SUD
To convert other file formats to the "Reinforcement Schedule" file type, you need software like Allplan or a similar tool.
About SUD files
The .SUD extension is a classic example of a filename collision, predominantly representing data files from legacy GFI Informatique (now Inetum) ERP systems or reinforcement schedules from Allplan engineering software. In the context of Allplan, these files contain crucial reinforcement steel schedules used in civil engineering, while the GFI variant holds proprietary database records. A minority of these files may also be Sudoku puzzles or Makura game scripts.
The key problem with .SUD files is their strict software dependency. An Allplan schedule file is often a binary or formatted text list that cannot be easily viewed by contractors or clients who lack a valid (and expensive) CAD license. Similarly, ERP data files are typically locked within the database ecosystem, making them inaccessible for external auditing or simple spreadsheet analysis. Users frequently encounter these files in archives or project exports and find them unreadable by standard text editors or Microsoft Excel.
To bridge this gap, the most practical workflow is converting the file based on its contents. For Allplan schedules and ERP data, converting to CSV or XLSX is widely recommended to regain control over the structured data. For archiving or sharing engineering specs without risking data alteration, converting to PDF is the industry standard.
Convert.Guru analyzes your SUD file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert SUD file to JS, TS, PY, JAVA, CPP, C, CS, PHP, RB, GO, RS or SWIFT, you can use Allplan or similar software from the "Engineering & ERP Data Storage" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert SH, PY, KT, PS1, SWIFT, LUA, PL, JAVA, SCALA, JS, VBS or TS files to SUD, try Allplan or another comparable tool in the "Engineering & ERP Data Storage" category.
The SUD Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our SUD converter.
