Extract text from Profiler reports or project files (SRP)
To convert SRP reports or projects to another format, you need YourKit or other Data software.
To convert other file formats to the "Application Data File" file type, you need software like YourKit or a similar tool.
The .SRP file extension has several conflicting uses across different software ecosystems. The most common use is a Java Profiler Sampler Report generated by YourKit Java Profiler, storing performance data for Java applications. Another frequent use is an XML-based Project Management Plan created by RationalPlan, used to track project tasks and resources. Less common variants include road design projects from Smart Road, game data archives for R.U.S.E., and accounting databases for Sage Saari.
Because .SRP files belong to closed, specialized systems, they are heavily restricted. YourKit reports are proprietary binary or serialized data, meaning they cannot be opened outside the profiler. RationalPlan files use XML, but the schema is unique to the software. You cannot open these files in standard text editors or web browsers without losing context. Standard converters completely fail with .SRP files because the format lacks a universal standard and the internal formats are application-specific.
If you need to share this data, you must export it from the original software. From YourKit, export the report to CSV or PDF. From RationalPlan, export to MPP (Microsoft Project) or PDF.
This file format is difficult to open or convert because of these fragmented, proprietary variations. Usually, only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
