The .RWM file extension is a highly fragmented format primarily used as proprietary data containers. It typically functions as a game world map for the classic MMORPG Tibia or the colony simulator RimWorld. Alternatively, it operates as a 3D model in the Robot Wars game series, or as a statistical report file generated by enterprise software like Combit List & Label. These files are heavily restricted by their native ecosystems. They are closed-source, deeply proprietary, and completely dependent on the original software to function. You cannot open a Tibia map in RimWorld, nor can you easily read a Combit report in Microsoft Excel without specialized export modules. This lack of interoperability frustrates users who need to share data or modify game assets.
