Extract text from Nokia ringtones (RTTTL)

The .rtttl file contains Ring Tone Text Transfer Language data, originally developed by Nokia to share simple, monophonic ringtones between early mobile phones. It stores musical data as a plain text string divided into three sections: Name, Default Values (duration, octave, tempo), and the Melody (actual notes). You can easily open these files with standard text editors like Notepad, but to hear the melody, you need legacy software like Nokia PC Suite or modern synthesizer emulators.
The primary disadvantage of the .rtttl format is its extreme limitation. It is strictly monophonic, meaning it can only play one note at a time (simple beeps). It cannot store polyphonic sound, vocals, or modern audio data, making it entirely obsolete for modern iOS or Android smartphones without conversion. Users typically need to convert these files into MIDI, MP3, or WAV to play the melodies on current devices, or into TXT to edit the raw notes for hobbyist projects like Arduino buzzer programming.
This format is notoriously difficult for standard media software to handle because it is not actually an audio file. Traditional online audio converters fail because they look for audio waveforms (PCM data), whereas .rtttl is just a text string representing sheet music. It requires an active software synthesizer engine to render the text into actual sound.
